FBS Contracts is proud to have contributed to the delivery of Seren Lodge, a specialist Mother and Baby Unit at Countess of Chester, working in partnership with Read Construction and Gilling Dod Architects.
This modern eight-bed facility provides a calm, therapeutic environment for mothers, babies and their families across the region.
FBS Contracts manufactured and installed bespoke fitted furniture throughout, including bedroom furniture, baby changing areas, clinical spaces, offices, staff rest areas and hairdressing units.
All elements were designed to meet the demanding standards of mental health environments, prioritising safety, durability and user comfort. Our anti-ligature furniture incorporates concealed fixings, robust construction and smooth edges to minimise risk while maintaining a warm, calm and therapeutic atmosphere.
We incorporated Himacs solid surface alongside laminated MDF to deliver a hygienic, durable finish. Himacs’ non-porous, seamless design resists stains and bacteria, is easy to clean and maintain, and ensures long-lasting performance within demanding, high-use healthcare environments.
