Woodlands Hospital, Greater Manchester

wardrobe storage

FBS have recently supplied and installed the bedroom furniture for the new Holly Ward extension at Woodlands Hospital providing  accommodation for older inpatients. The £3.5M Scheme modernises Older Adult Mental Health Services for the trust and applies latest Best Practice to this evolving service.

Holly ward offers a specialist facility providing a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals with Dementia. It  is an 18 bed mixed sex ward and supports patients and their carers to maximise their life potential, offering a range of inpatient services and also community services.

FBS made a range of fitted bedroom furniture for the en-suite rooms with built in storage all with the safety of the patient in mind including anti-ligature features. We furnished the communal areas which were designed to be homely in a contemporary style using wood finishes, natural colours and soft furnishings. A sofa and comfortable chairs provide a choice of seating, while bespoke artworks and familiar objects provide interest and opportunities to evoke memories and prompt conversations as people walk along the corridor.
