The recently completed Advanced Manufacturing Building will provide the university with extra office space, seminar space and laboratories. The institute for Advanced Manufacturing aims to provide world leading facilities for the research and development of emerging technologies used in the production of high-value products in a bid to support and revitalise UK manufacturing.

FBS installed Trespa Toplab Base benches throughout. Fitted on PPC mild steel support frames the benches offer great flexibility in the arrangement of storage units as mobile units can be relocated around the laboratory at any time by the user. 3 bespoke mobile benches incorporating shelving and cupboard units in a PPC mild steel frame provide extra versatility to the layout.

To maximise durability in the manufacturing laboratory environment, Trespa was the material of choice for the worktops, end panels, door and drawer fronts, due to its excellent resistance to chemicals, scratches and wear. The lab benches also included under-mount Belfast sinks with drainer grooves integrated into the Trespa worktop.
