Fire devastates new lab at Nottingham University

In September a fire destroyed the new multimillion-pound GlaxoSmithKline Carbon Neutral Laboratory for Sustainable Chemistry at the University of Nottingham. FBS were one of the sub-contractors for the build and would like to express our relief that no-one was hurt and that the fire service managed to contain the fire and prevent further damage. FBS are delighted to announce that following an intensive and detailed on-site audit we have achieved level 4 accreditation with Achilles Building Confidence. Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal

Every March, millions of people across the UK take part in the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal, by giving a donation to wear a daffodil pin. This year our MD, Tracey, will be raising money for the excellent people at Marie Curie Cancer Care ; she will be rattling her collecting bucket outside Morrisons in Frodsham on the 20th of March. Marie Curie Cancer Care provide care and support for more than 40,000 terminally ill people and their families in the UK each year. Marie Curie Cancer Care’s nurses work night and day, in people’s homes across the UK, providing hands-on care and vital emotional support. Their hospices offer specialist round-the-clock care.
